In my life this week…
Sooooo, I go on this fabulous vacation to Chicago and the day after I get home, I start feeling really run down, my throat starts to hurt, my nose starts running and I start to spike a fever.
Mommy down!
I was curled up on the couch sicker than a dog for 5 days. Sadly, one of those days was Father’s Day and we still have yet to celebrate it.
Hopefully, we’ll find the time to observe an official “do over” at some point this weekend.
My favorite thing this week was…
My sweet son brought me a bell and set it next to me while I was on the couch and told me to ring it if I needed him for anything.
Love him!!!
I’m reading…
The only thing that I’ve been reading this week is the back of the DayQuil box.
*sigh*
I’m cooking…
Nothing.
Poor Hubby has cooked every dinner that we’ve eaten this week.
And when I say, “cooked” I mean that he’s picked up dinner somewhere and lovingly brought it home to us.
I’m grateful for…
Can I say DayQuil?
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
OK, enough of my cold medicine induced lamenting about my head cold this week!
Let me switch gears and share one more photo from our recent vacation. This pic was taken on the SkyDeck Ledge of the Willis Tower on the 103rd floor high above Chicago.
The reason that my son is laughing is because I threw a bit of a hysterical fit as I got shoved out onto the ledge before I was really prepared to stand on that thin piece of plexiglass and look down. Apparently, my son thought my questioning the camera person about the sanity of the person that build that crazy attraction was hilarious!

Oh, I'm not sure I could get on that piece of plexiglass, but it should does make for an interesting, fun photo! (Me = PETRIFIED of heights) I hope you're feeling better!
So glad you are getting better. Mommy down is never good
I feel for you hanging out over downtown Chicago! As an adult, I have developed a healthy (and sometimes un-healthy) fear of heights!
